چکیده

An optimization-based methodology for the design of miniaturized microstrip gives an automated process for generation of antenna geometrical parameters and mainly associated with Particle Swarm Two software programs are used in parallel, and in a coupled synchronized fashion. The first one is the electromagnetic simul Microwave Studio which gives instantaneous estimation of the antenna performance. The second is MATLAB algorithm in order to optimize the geometry of the antenna after considering two objective functions: return loss and antenna methodology is applied to a third-order Minkowski fractal antenna which is optimize based on the conventional (non-fractal) antenna, and the sequential one which is based on the optimized previous simulated results show excellent performance requirements than 90% reduction in overall size in comparison with the conventional reference antenna.

A Sierpenski slot antenna as a TAG RFID antenna

This paper covers the design and optimisation of fractal antennas for RFID application at microwave frequencies. Basing on the Sierpenski gasket antenna and slot technique we propose a novel structure of Sierpenski fractal antenna which is named Sierpenski Slot antenna. The propose structure present a reduction of size by more than 52% which is very important in the case of TAG RFID antenna.

Design and Fabrication of Miniaturized Fractal Antennas for Passive UHF RFID Tags

Generally, passive RFID tags consist of an integrated circuit (RFID chip) and an antenna. Because the passive tags are batteryless, the power transfer between the RFID's chip and the antenna is an important factor in the design. The increasing of the available power at the tag will increase the read range of the tag which is a key factor in RFID tags. The passive RFID tag antennas cannot be tak...

OPTIMUM SHAPE DESIGN OF DOUBLE-LAYER GRIDS BY QUANTUM BEHAVED PARTICLE SWARM OPTIMIZATION AND NEURAL NETWORKS

In this paper, a methodology is presented for optimum shape design of double-layer grids subject to gravity and earthquake loadings. The design variables are the number of divisions in two directions, the height between two layers and the cross-sectional areas of the structural elements. The objective function is the weight of the structure and the design constraints are some limitations on str...

Multi-Objective Optimization of Wire Antennas: Genetic Algorithms Versus Particle Swarm Optimization

The paper is aimed to the multi-objective optimization of wire multi-band antennas. Antennas are numerically modeled using time-domain integral-equation method. That way, the designed antennas can be characterized in a wide band of frequencies within a single run of the analysis. Antennas are optimized to reach the prescribed matching, to exhibit the omni-directional constant gain and to have t...

Fractal Evolver: Interactive Evolutionary Design of Fractals with Grid Computing

Interactive Evolutionary Computing is a powerful methodology that can be incorporated into the creative design process. However, for such a system to be useful, the evolutionary process should be simple to understand and easy to operate. This is especially true in applications where it is difficult to create a mathematical formula or model of the fitness evaluation, or where the quality of the ...
